The Akamina-Kishinena Provincial Park in the southeastern corner of British Columbia is part of the “Crown of the Continent” UNESCO World Heritage Site in combination with nearby Waterton Lakes National Park (Alberta, Canada) and Glacier National Park (Montana, USA). Covering a rather minuscule (by provincial park standards) area at 109 sq. km, the park serves mostly as a buffer area to the other two parks, but still offers some excellent hiking possibilities.
