Crowsnest Pass

Crowsnest Pass straddles the inter-provincial border between Alberta and British Columbia to the northwest of Waterton National Park. Located 2 hours to the southwest of Calgary by car, this region is often passed through in the winter by skiers eager to reach the Fernie area. In the summer this region can often offer dryer, more favourable weather during much of the early scrambling season, and with great destinations such as Crowsnest Mountain and Turtle Mountain, you'd be wise to take advantage of those conditions; just be wary of strong winds.
